For toy/treat sizing. Skip if irrelevant for your species.

"No chicken, dairy-free, hates carrots" — anything we should avoid in recipe / treat suggestions.

Treats, toys, activities. Helps us pick gifts they'll actually use.

A sentence is plenty. "Velcro pup, scared of strangers." "Fearless little jumping spider." "Grumpy old cat who only loves the dog."

If they live with other animals — share a setup, share a routine — that changes recommendations a lot.

  4. 7 days out. Party planning checklist: food, decor, photo setup.
  5. The day of. A short happy-birthday note.
  6. About every quarter. One useful tip for your species. No sales push.
  7. Every year. Automatic. You don't have to re-enter anything.

What about birthdays we don't know?

Use the Gotcha Day instead. That's the adoption date — its own anniversary, just as worth celebrating, and probably the one you actually remember. Pick birthday, Gotcha Day, or both.

The reminder cycle is the only thing that comes through automatically. The monthly Deals roundup is opt-in only and clearly labelled. One-click unsubscribe in every email — including a Deals-only opt-out that keeps your reminders intact.

What about my data?
